Dr. Curtis is excited to return to Scottsdale after practicing in Prescott, Arizona, for the last 4 years. I was blessed to practice with Dr Steven Goldstein from 2019–2021. It is a dream come true to reunite with two excellent dental mentors; Dr. Steven Goldstein and Dr. Yair Whiteman. Their exceptional dental team and patients are delighted to welcome him back to their team.

Dr. Steven Goldstein received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from Georgetown University. After practicing general dentistry for two years in the Washington DC/ Virginia area, Dr Goldstein received three additional years of training at the University of Pennsylvania in their Periodontal Prosthesis program studying complex full mouth rehabilitations with natural teeth and dental implants. He opened his practice in Scottsdale, Arizona in 1990. His areas of expertise are restorative and cosmetic dentistry, including dental implants, crowns, veneers, bridges, full-mouth restorations and dentures. Dr. Goldstein also performs basic dental procedures such as fillings, with an emphasis on minimally invasive dentistry

I noticed this place on my multiple trips to Fry's. Normally I live in Phoenix, but didn't want to drive 200 miles for a needed cleaning. In spite of this possibly being a one-time appointment, the lady behind the desk was genuinely friendly and happily scheduled me. Next, the hygienist was amazing. She was very sensitive, working with all those tools, and thorough. Happy in her work, she sang along with the (nicely contemporary) muzak and we had numerous humorous exchanges. She recognized a couple few areas that needed attention, and that's when I met Dr Curtis. He too was surprisingly friendly. Beyond courteous, he was conversational and very layman-educational concerning his suggested plan. So I needed a couple fillings, and my two oldest crowns were in dire straits. Right then and there, I decided to have Dr Curtis take care of me. Numerous reasons, like my beloved dentist of 32 years in Phoenix had recently retired and I wasn't in love with his replacement, but more than that, the atmosphere in this office to that point was significant. Next comes the good part, discovering the many traits of this highly, highly skilled doctor: I am a pill to get sufficiently numbed up, and he took pains to make sure I was. I respect being efficient, and he was. I am a professional artist, so I "get" subtle nuances and detail sensitivity. Dr Curtis is all over that. From his attention to drill tips to his controlled movements in shaping and filling cavities and removing stubborn crowns and then tackling below-the-gumline cavities, to his interactions with his assistants and noting when I needed a break, to his need to be completely satisfied that he's done his best effort (it is apparent he loves his work), I feel like I hit the jackpot. Never mind that I had to hand that jackpot right back to him. He and his staff are worth all that and more. SO rare.

Due to Covid it had been nearly 2 years since seeing a dentist. Being a fairly new resident of Prescott I was a bit anxious about finding a new dentist. I decided on Dr. Curtis and feel so lucky that I found him. The hygienist is terrific, very thorough and pain free. My husband, who has not had great experiences in the past had to be convinced to see the same hygienist and after his teeth cleaning said he couldn't believe how comfortable he was and will be happy to go back. I finally decided after years of fighting to have white teeth that I would go with veneers, which meant multiple visits. Each time I was so impressed with how friendly and professional his front desk staff greeted me. Dr. Curtis could not have been more professional, courteous and friendly....making me feel very comfortable and clearly explaining the process. He is a perfectionist who wants his clients to be totally satisfied. And I can't say enough about his assistant, Gina....what a remarkable team. What can I possibly say about Dr.Curtis’s office. I will start by saying when I was 12 I face planted into concrete on Christmas Day. Broke out my 2 front teeth. Had them filled and moved on with my life. Fast forward 26 years later I am in dire need to have 2 root canals and 2 crowns that have been abscessing and causing me grief for years. I have put all of it off because of my extreme fear of dentists. This office is AMAZING! From front to back this office is great! Julie has taken the time out of her day multiple times to talk me off the ledge of chickening out of these procedures. She is always upbeat, smiling and offering calm sound advice. She is by far one of the kindest caring people I have ever met. She remembers everyone! That in itself was pretty cool! I was 💯 terrified about everything. Every person in there made me feel welcome and at ease. Like family really. Dr. Curtis and his assistant Gina really went above and beyond for me! Making phone calls to be sure the way my crowns were fit and made wouldn’t interfere with future treatments possibly getting Invisalign down the road. Taylor the hygienist so sweet! She really knows how to make you feel at ease. Every step of everything I went thru on this day was explained to me. I no longer think I will have issues going to the dentist. I CANNOT thank everyone in this office for the peace they made me feel before during and after treatment! This experience was life altering and life changing for me. My quality of life has changed forever! I know that these 2 teeth will never have another tooth abscess or another migraine due to the awful pain I was in for so long. His office is equipped to make the cap at the site so I walked away with a permanent cap, no temporary cap and no additional appt needed.
